My name is Jomarie Almeus. I am an 18-year-old Haitian-Cuban 1st-generation American. I’m also from Queens, New York. I’m a self-taught artist, and I started drawing seriously when I was seven. During my freshman year of high school and throughout, I was finally introduced to formal art classes that helped me shape my skills and my creativity. During my last two years of high school, I have participated in honors art classes that pushed me to do my very best. Life drawings, expressionism, and surrealism are my specialties.
